Luxury Under Canvas
On arrival, guests are immediately struck by the elegance of our Main Lounge and Dining Tent, accessed via a path that winds through the trees. Once inside, watching the hippos bathing in the hippo pool directly in front of the camp could keep you entertained for hours on end, so much so that you might never want to leave!
Where You'll Sleep
Naibor has seven spacious and airy pale Khaki canvas tents and two 2-bedroom family suites for guests to call home during their stay.
All of our tents are carefully positioned amongst the trees so that each can enjoy the surrounding woodland and river views in total privacy. Each tent is a private unit complete with shady veranda, the most comfortable beds with the highest thread count Egyptian cotton bedlinen, en-suite bathroom with flush toilet, Cinnabar Green amenities and hot safari shower. From your bed you will hear grunting gnu, hippos, hyenas and lions at night. With wild animals often close by, our Maasai warriors will escort you safely to your tent after dinner—where a hot water bottle will be waiting to keep your bed warm and cozy.
Main Naibor
The five double and two twin bedded guest tents have been designed in pale khaki canvas and high ceilings to allow you to immerse in the surroundings fully.
Each tent has a veranda with an extra-large fig wood day bed, perfect for enjoying your morning coffee or afternoons relaxing with a book. The interiors include a writing desk and chair, double or twin-configuration bed, bedside tables with charging points, his and her wardrobes and sumptuous kilim carpets. Each en-suite bathroom has a vanity unit with brass basin and tap, hot safari shower with Cinnabar Green amenities and a flush toilet.
On particularly restful days, you can ask the Askari to light your personal firepit and unwind by the fire in front of your tent with a refreshing drink in hand. For a romantic evening, private dining on the veranda outside your tent is available upon pre-arranged request.
Little Naibor... Our Family Suites
Little Naibor is part of our main camp and is comprised of two luxurious spacious tents. These spacious tents are configured as two-bedroom suites that have been uniquely designed to work perfectly for families or couples traveling together. Each suite contains a king and a twin-bedded room, with their own en-suite bathrooms, inter-joined by a communal lounge and large veranda area, where a dedicated team of staff caters to your every need. The Swahili Style interiors include sumptuous kilim carpets, an exceptionally large custom carved fig wood sofa, bedside tables with charging points and a large wardrobe. Each en-suite bathroom has a vanity unit with brass basin and tap, hot safari shower with Cinnabar Green amenities and a flush toilet.
Both the lounge and bedroom areas of Little Naibor open out onto the veranda which spans the length of the tent and has spectacular views of the Talek River. On the veranda you will find a dining table for private dining and chaise lounges perfect for spending a relaxing afternoon reading a book. Just below the veranda, right on the river, is a seating area around your own private firepit.
Each group or family staying in one of our Little Naibor tents enjoys exclusive use of their own private guide and safari vehicle.
Relax & Connect
The main communal area of Naibor sits on the riverbank in the centre of camp, commanding spectacular views of our resident hippos much to the amusement of most of our guests. The lounge library has a collection of interesting books and fun games to keep everyone in the family entertained during siesta time. Furnished in modern safari style with vintage touches from the past, various seating areas provide comfy spaces for relaxation both inside the sitting room and outside on the wraparound deck. Wi-Fi is available throughout all communal areas, should you wish to stay connected to the outside world during your stay. Guests find it easy to unwind in this tranquil atmosphere of understated safari elegance.
Dining
At Naibor, we offer an array of dining spaces to choose from. Whether on the deck, the grassy riverbank, or under canvas lit by candlelight, meals at Naibor are always paired with the chance to spot wildlife as you enjoy delicious, homecooked meals.
If breakfast is not taken in the bush, it is served on our deck overlooking the river. Whether you opt for a light continental spread of fresh fruits, yogurt, and granola, or a hearty full English breakfast, you’re sure to start the day satisfied.
Lunch is served casually by the river, on murram platforms carved into the riverbank, where guests can help themselves to a generous buffet spread of fresh, delicious dishes. A crisp glass of rosé, anyone?
Dinner is a more formal affair, with a three-course meal served under our candlelit dining tent, accompanied by the enchanting sounds of the African night. We offer a carefully curated selection of wines to perfectly complement your dinner.
At Naibor, we respect your privacy and need for downtime, which is why meals are not taken communally. We’re also happy to arrange dining in special locations, such as the river deck or your tent veranda. Additionally, we offer a range of unique bush meal options, including breakfast and lunch picnics, fully set-up bush breakfasts, and special sundowners with stunning views over the vast plains.
