Naibor Camps

CONSERVATION

Naibor Camps aids and involves nearby Masai communities in preserving their wildlife and environment and provides them with a source of income.

Our goal is to enable the rural populations to benefit from their natural resources in a sustainable and non-destructive way to better care for their families and improve their standard of living. As far as possible, Naibor Camps recruits staff for employment from the nearby community. In addition the community receives a direct contribution for every guest per night in the camp. This contribution is then dedicated to social development projects in the community.

Naibor Camps also helps to channel private investment and donations into micro-finance, health and education projects within the local area. The Naibor Camps Boutique is specifically aimed at providing an outlet for locally made Masai crafts and arts – providing the Masai people with a market for their artistic talents.

We donate fuel each month to the Black Rhino Protection Unit (so far totalling more than 15,000 litres), and we also regularly support the Mara-Meru cheetah project, including a recent donation towards a refurbished scout vehicle.
