MEET THE TEAM

WILSON, HEAD CHEF
Wilson has a true passion for cooking and has worked as a chef for over 20 years. Starting his career studying at Utalii college in Nairobi, Wilson has since developed his skills by working in various hotels and camps across the country before Naibor Camps was lucky to have him join our team as a Sous Chef in 2010. Wilson has grown and shown incredible creativity in the kitchen and since 2015 has been our Head Chef. His favorite meal at Naibor Camps is our signature sizzling steak.
JACKSON, HEAD GUIDE
Jackson is an accomplished guide with over 10 years of experience. He began his career guiding in his home of Amboseli before joining Naibor Camps in 2011. Jackson is a very conscientious driver with a clear passion for wildlife, conservation, and politics. He is an avid birder who particularly loves the lilac-breasted roller. Jackson enjoys meeting guests from all over the world and getting to share the beauty of the Mara. He is currently studying for his Silver level qualifications.
CHAKA AND TASSIA, NAIBOR CAMPS MANAGERS
Tassia and Chaka joined Naibor Camps in September 2022. Chaka spent his childhood in Nairobi followed by the Kenyan coast and always surrounded himself with the local wildlife, from monkeys to cats to the family chickens. Starting his career in farming at the foothills of Mount Kenya, Chaka has always had a strong connection to nature. This connection, along with his social nature, has led Chaka to work in the hospitality industry in Kenya for the past 12 years. You’ll find Chaka greeting the creatures who call Naibor home each and every morning. Originally from the Hampshire countryside, Tassia began her career in interior styling and visual merchandising in the UK. Tassia’s path to Kenya was through her work in the sustainable fashion industry, firstly in Tsavo, then in Nairobi, managing and developing Artisan accessories production with community women’s groups for the past 6 years. Tassia joined Naibor with a love of rural Kenya, both the wildlife and community traditions alike.
